From door signs to digital.
One seamless identity.

Hotel Schwarzer Adlers Innsbruck.

Relaunch,
Hotel Schwarzer Adler.

The historic Hotel Schwarzer Adler Innsbruck, over 500 years old, underwent a complete renovation, prompting a comprehensive redesign. A monogram „HSA“ was created as a logo for the hotel. The design incorporated „metal-engraving images“ in multiply mode, reflecting both the hotel‘s rich history and its modern, newly renovated atmosphere. All classic hotel print materials and amenities were redesigned. Additionally, a new WordPress website was developed to showcase the revamped identity.

The Challenge.

Hotel Schwarzer Adler, one of Innsbruck’s most renowned hotels, needed a complete redesign. The goal was to refresh its visual identity across every touchpoint — from wayfinding inside the building to its online presence.

The Solution.

I created a comprehensive design system covering signage, door plates, and directional wayfinding, as well as printed folders, banners, beer mats, and business cards. The hotel’s in-house “Pfiff-Bar” was given its own playful yet elegant identity, designed to fit seamlessly with the hotel brand.

The Outcome.

Guests now experience a unified and modern brand world — from navigating the hallways to enjoying a drink at the bar, to discovering the hotel’s story online. A timeless design for a historic house.
